Clients are very busy people, which is why they hire you. Your specific expertise and experience and perhaps their limited bandwidth fulfill a critical need. Since clients are often immersed in their strategic projects, it's a delicate balancing act to stay in touch with clients sufficiently for alignment yet not burden them with unnecessary time commitments or requests.

A sweet spot during projects is to have a weekly call with your primary client contact. You check in, calibrate progress against milestones, request feedback, and understand what's upcoming. This ability to touch base informally, yet with regularity, allows you to course correct and know where your client is today and is headed tomorrow!
